FAFSA

The FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is used to apply for federal student aid such as grants, work-study, and loans. You may also use the FAFSA to apply for state and some private aid.

  • The first step to receiving Financial Aid is to complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov . List “Bethune-Cookman University” and the B-CU Federal School Code 001467 as a school of choice.

How can I fill out the FAFSA?

The EASIEST and FASTEST way to complete the FAFSA is electronically by using FAFSA on the Web. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov . You can also fill out and mail a paper FAFSA, but it takes much longer. Each method is available in both in English and Spanish versions. Do NOT submit more than one application.
 
 What is the deadline for the FAFSA application for the  School Year?

B-CU’s  ON-TIME deadline for NEW students is March 15 of your entrance year. The earlier you get your FAFSA done the more aid you are eligible for. Submit your application as early as possible, but no earlier than January 1of your entrance year . FSA must have your application no later than June 30 of your entrance year.
