**Fall 2018 Financial Clearance**
Important Reminder to Clear any Outstanding Balance by
Sunday, July 1, 2018.

  •  If an account balance remains after July 1st, a “hold” will be entered on your student account, and you will not be able to enroll for the fall semester or receive a residence hall assignment.
  • If you have already enrolled and/or received a hall assignment and have a balance, a “hold” will be entered on your student account the first business day after July 1st.  Your classes will be changed to a “pre-registered” status, and your hall assignment will be removed (if applicable).
  • If the balance still remains at the close of business on Monday, July 30th, your classes will be dropped, and no classes will be reinstated after Thursday, August 23rd.

Bethune-Cookman University seeks to enroll students with the potential and desire to further their intellectual, spiritual and social development.  Each applicant is evaluated individually. The University also considers the applicant’s character and personality as well as his or her ability and eagerness to achieve a college education.  We welcome the diverse experiences and viewpoints brought by students from outside the United States.

Application Instructions

International students are encouraged to apply early.  Candidates must submit the following credentials:

1.    A completed application.

2.    A $50.00 non-refundable application fee.

3.    TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score if the applicant’s first language is not English.  The university may consider a waiver of this requirement if the applicant has completed significant academic coursework in English.  Contact www.toefl.org or call (609) 881-7100 for information on the test.

4.    A translation and evaluation of all secondary and college academic credentials from a service such as the World Education Services (www.wes.org; 212-966-6311) or Josef Silny and Associates (www.jsilny.com; 305-273-1616).  The evaluation should include grade point calculations for each institution attended.

5.    If admitted, applicants will be asked to provide a financial statement documenting verified sources of adequate financial resources required for attendance.  Students will receive the I-20 Immigration Form after they have been accepted for admission and submitted the financial resources form.
Post-Secondary School Credentials
Please have your post-secondary school credentials submitted to one of the evaluation agencies listed below. These agencies will provide us with a summary of your academic program, progress, and GPA calculation. Please note that there is a fee for the evaluation service. Contact the agencies directly for further information. If you submit your credentials to Bethune-Cookman University without being evaluated by one of the agencies below, the credentials will be returned to you, causing a delay in your acceptance.

International Students Forms

The forms listed below must be completed and returned to Mr. Malik "Billy" DaJuste at  dajusteb@cookman.edu or faxed to (386) 481-2601.

These forms must be completed by all international students in order to have an I-20 for their acceptance at Bethune-Cookman University.

You are required to provide a notarized affidavit of financial support. The affidavit must be from the individual that will be providing the bank statement and the actual funding of your educational expenses while attending Bethune-Cookman University.
